Blacktown City began their campaign with a tricky 2-1 victory over fellow NPL Men’s NSW side St George City FA, before blasting past Fraser Park FC and Northbridge FC to make it to Preliminary Round Seven.
Against Football NSW League One side Inter Lions, a Danny Choi double, as well as goals to Grand Lynch, Jak O’Brien and Joey Gibbs comfortably saw them through to their sixth Australia Cup campaign.
Blacktown will be looking for a repetition of their 2017 Round of 32 fixture this year, which saw them upset A-League Men side Central Coast Mariners in a stunning 3-2 victory, as they went through to the quarter-finals for the second time in their history.
