The 2023 Australia Cup was the only trophy available that the Central Coast Mariners couldn’t win in their most recent record-breaking season, where they won the A-League Men Premiership and Championship, as well as the 2023-24 AFC Cup.
Historically, the Mariners have struggled in the Australia Cup, not being able to advance out of the Round of 32 in six of their previous appearances.
However, when winning their first knockout game, they’ve been competitive, making the Semi-Finals twice and losing out to Melbourne Victory in the final in 2021.
The Mariners are currently in the middle of yet another off-season rebuild, but considering their success in the previous campaign, they will look to be one of the favourites in 2024.
