After a mediocre A-League Men 2023/24 season, the Wanderers will be looking to use the Australia Cup to make a statement in a new era for the club under Alen Stajcic.
Western Sydney, featuring Socceroos Lawrence Thomas in goal and Brandon Borrello up front, has made the Semi-finals on two previous occasions but never made the final, with those two runs coming in 2017 and 2018.
Last year, the Wanderers bowed out to eventual finalists Brisbane Roar in the Quarter-finals and will be looking for respite in 2024.
However, they’ll first have to take on an exciting Brisbane City FC side, who will be looking to become the third NPL side to produce a Cupset against the Wanderers.
