The 2026 Hahn Australia Cup provided yet another Cupset on the final match day of the Round of 32.
South Melbourne came from a goal down to stun Adelaide United, while Brisbane Roar sailed through to the next round against Sydney Olympic.
Here is the rundown of another thrilling night of action, as the competition witnessed a record number of cupsets (four) in the Round of 32.
South Melbourne 2-1 Adelaide United
South Melbourne secured their second-ever Cupset, coming from behind to defeat Adelaide United.
It took the three-time winners just four minutes to open the scoring.
Juan Muniz picked out Craig Goodwin in the left of the box, who drilled a left-footed finish that squirmed under Hellas goalkeeper Jake Charlston and bounced into the goal.
The inaugural Australian Championship winners fought back soon after the half-hour mark through Bul Jauch.
The striker blasted a superb effort from the edge of the box, clipping the right post on its way in to send the teams into the sheds level.
South Melbourne then stunned United in the 68th minute by taking the lead.
David Yoo headed a left-sided cross back across goal for Yuki to Uchida to slam it home from close range.
Adelaide could not find a route back into the game, with South Melbourne picking up an historic result to progress through to the Round of 16.
Sydney Olympic 0-3 Brisbane Roar
A second-half flurry earned Brisbane Roar a convincing 3-0 win against Sydney Olympic.
Olympic held their opponents off in the first half, with the scores still level at the break.
Brisbane put Olympic under increasing pressure and finally made the breakthrough just after the hour mark.
Justin Vidic wrestled his way into a shooting position, before the striker clipped a delicate finish into the goal.
The visitors doubled their advantage less than a couple of minutes later as Sabit Ngor calmly passed the ball into the bottom left corner.
The Road finished off the contest in the 78th minute, when Jacob Nasso nodded a header just over the line from Ngor’s in-swinging corner.
Nasso’s goal confirmed Brisbane Roar’s place in the Round of 16.
Round of 16 Draw
After the conclusion of tonight's fixtures and the Round of 32, the Round of 16 Live Draw took place, revealing some mouth-watering fixtures along with the Road to the Final.
